Description
The Alto de Petralba on the Fiscal side is notable for several things, the most striking and recognizable of which is its long tunnel of 2.6 km which ends almost at the top; reaching the entrance of the tunnel is appreciated as it involves cycling down a constant and gentle slope. Its hardest ramps are in the first 3 kilometers and at the exit of the first tunnel of Berroy, reaching a maximum slope of 9.50%. But the slope is not the main adversity that a biker can find in the Petralba ascent. Its very wide road, similar to a motorway, is capable of undermining the morale of the most motivated biker, a width at which it seems you never advance. The other enemy that tends to appear quite frequently is the strong headwind.
