Description
In 2006 the finish of the race of the Gran Premio Miguel Indurain was changed form the flat end in the centre of Estella to a high end of this climb in front of the Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Puy, also in Estella. In 2018 they changed it back to the old finish in the centre of Estella. Famous names whom crossed the line first on top of this climb are Fabian Wegmann (2006 and 2008), David de la Fuente (2009), Joaquim Rodríguez (2010), Samuel Sánchez (2011) Dani Moreno (2012), Alejandro Valverdeand (2014) and Simon Yates (2017).
