Description
This brick and tube factory was started up in 1920 by Joseph Dumoulin. From the original company still date the ring furnace, the metalled chimney, the pre-treatment building with machinery and forge, the ground floor drying sheds, the clay pits and the track with tipping wagons. In the peak years of the company, 2 to 3,000 bricks and pipes were produced per day. After the closure of the brickworks and tube factory in 1975, the buildings fell into disrepair. Nevertheless, they have a special industrial-archaeological value and because all the company's equipment is still there.
