Description

In 2020 the finish op stage 2 of the Tour de la Provence was on top of this climb. Aleksandr Vlasov (Astana) won with a powerful solo attack. The Russian champion ripped clear with two kilometers to go and opened a sizeable gap over a reduced peloton that failed to organize a chase. Wilco Kelderman led home the chasing group some 24 seconds down on Vlasov, while his Astana teammate Alexey Lutsenko placed third on the stage.

On this climb in 2020, Benoît Cosnefroy attacked from the peloton. Together with 3 other riders he had to battle for the victory in Marseille, which he won.
