Description

The Col d'Èze, located between Nice and Monaco, near La Turbie in the Alpes-Maritimes department, reaches a height of around 500m. Located less than 5 km from the coast, it offers a remarkable panoramic view of the French Riviera: Cap Ferrat to the west and Italy to the east.

Since 1969 the climb in Paris-Nice has been included 29 times as a time trial and several times as a climb at the end of the last stage. The Irishman Seán Kelly is the record holder and has won the time trial 5 times. Joop Zoetemelk and Stephen Roche each 4 times.
