Description
"The Izoard is my favorite because that’s the one that helped me win my first Tour. I was away in the lead and had a motorbike just in front of me, prising open the crowds. I felt so encouraged, so close to the people. It was magical." Bernard Thévenet
As a result of the Corona problems and the more stringent measures adopted as a result, the Giro 2020 was not allowed to cross French territory at stage 20.
As a result, the passage over the Agnello, Izoard and Montgenèvre has been replaced by a triple climb to the ski village of Sestriere.
