Description
Colle del Preit is little known climb from Ponte Marmora (944m) in Valle Máira, Piemonte. One first climbs up to Canosio (1242m) and from here it is mostly very steep (with some almost flat sections) to the pass. Especially the last stretch just before the top is very steep. The road was reportedly asphalted in the higher regions in 2003. There are some drainage gullies and occasional cow dung. It is a lonely road, totally paved but very narrow. The last part of the road is closed to private vehicles.
