Description
In the descent of this climb, Lucien Aimar attacks and takes Janssen and Poulidor by surprise. He got away for Poulidor / Anquetil / Janssen and started the climb with a 1-minute advantage. On the top of the Colle Braida, he had more than 3 minutes and keeps it until the finish in Turin. Lucien Aimar takes the yellow jersey and defended it successfully until Paris.
