Description
This climb on the Opal Coast has provided one of the highlights of this Tour 2022. During the fourth stage in the Tour 2022 all eyes were on this hill at 11 kilometers from the finish. Jumbo-Visma won the sprint to the foot. Then Nathan Van Hooydonck and Tiesj Benoot rolled out the red carpet for Wout van Aert. The yellow jersey took over, tolerated Yates and Vingegaard in his tail for a while but then attacked again just before the top.
Wout van Aert got his stage win (and massive respect from the peleton) in Calais after a 10 km solo ride chased by the peleton.
