Description
On this uncategorized climb there were numerous attacks on Lucien Aimar's yellow jersey. Three consecutive climbs in the stage were seen as the last chance by the big men to change the general classification. Raymond Poulidor attacked 3 times, followed by Jan Janssen. Lucien Aimar countered easily.
