Description

Flemish people speak about the Knokteberg, French speakers about the Côte de Trieu. The climb starts from the Walloon border town of Russeignies (Rose Rakes), via the Rue du Trieu. On the top of the hill the riders dive into Flanders via Knoktstraat, a hamlet of Kwaremont (Kluisbergen).

Tiesj Benoot in 'Het Nieuwsblad': "The Côte de Trieu or the Knokteberg is a climb that suits me well. Thick 2 minutes straight on the pedals. An even start and then the steepest part at the end. I took that 'King of the Mountain' last year in Dwars door Vlaanderen."
