Description
The road to the viewpoint is a popular route for cyclists because of the climb. On November 8, 2018 the community of Bloemendaal decided to put up a sign referring to the height to mark the summit. Traditionally, cyclists used the letterbox as a marker, as mentioned in '43 wielerverhalen' by Tim Krabbé. In 2018 the letterbox was removed and since then there has been a sign on top of a full-sized mailbox, with a tribute to Gerrie Knetemann, the one and only 'Koning van ’t Kopje' (King of).
