Description

Lagunas de Neila, by far the most famous mountain in the province of Burgos. The Lagunas de Neila are a group of lakes formed in glacial cirques near Neila, in the southeast of the province of Burgos. The ascent to this Natural Park of the Glacier Lagoons of Neila constitutes one of the most important in the Spanish cycling history due to its habitual inclusion in the cycling Vuelta a Burgos, having won by Marino Lejarreta, Gianni Bugno, Tony Rominger or the most current Nairo Quintana or Mikel Landa.

For more than 20 years there has been a cycle-tourist event called the Marcha Cicloturista Lagunas de Neila.
