Description
De Keutenberg is notorious. In the past the setting of less beautiful circumstances but luckily the organizers of the Amstel Gold Race gave it a boost. After the climb in 1990 degenerated into a gigantic jamming of riders raking up on foot, stranded trailers and supporters who enthusiastically took over the narrow road, the Keutenberg was taken out of the race. It was not until seven years later that he returned to the Amstel Gold Race course. Public was no longer allowed, while only the neutral car and the jury were allowed to go up with the riders.
