Description

In 2008 a significant modification to the classic route of Milan Sanremo was introduced (which was maintained in the following editions): due to a landslide on the Via Aurelia at Capo Noli, between Noli and the Varigotti district of Finale Ligure, a new climb was inserted for some years: an ascent of about 4 km which from Noli goes up through the hamlet Voze to the Mànie plateau, with a descent towards the sea at the height of the town of Finale. After 2014, however, they returned to the more classic route..

In 2013 the course of Milan-Sanremo was shortened by 46 kilometers during the race due to bad weather conditions. Both Passo del Turchino and Le Manie were skipped by the peloton.
