Description
In the nineties the town was a stage venue for cycling competitions: the Giro d'Italia arrived there first with the 20th stage of the 1994 edition, held on 10 June and won by the Ukrainian Vladimir Poulnikov; on 27 July 1998 the 15th stage of the Tour de France, which saw the success of Marco Pantani with the Pirate's breakaway on the Col du Galibier.
