Description
The famous Lipkowska street constitutes the hardest, most epic roads pass towards the legendary Hill of Calvary (Góra Kalwaria, Poland). Góra Kalwaria is a sacred place for every self-respecting cyclist in the whole area of Mazowsze, which is often referred to as the "cycling paradise". The climb itself does not only offer tough incline, horrific gradients (just one bend!), and amazing views, but also a cycling-specific cafe atop.
And what about the history of the climb? It has seen battles. Oh yes, it has! In fact, it sees them every day. People tell stories of those who fought hard but had to give up and never made it back. Some say this is the only climb that the Polish great road cycling champion, Czesław Lang, never conquered. Lipkowska - feared and respected. The best Mazowsze has to offer.
