Description

This is the descent of the Olympic race in Rio de Janeiro 2016. During the mens race Vincenzo Nibali, Sergio Henao crashed on this descent. During the womens race Annemiek van Vleuten had a sickening downhill crash while leading the race, she was almost certain for winning gold. Van Vleuten, who lay motionless on the track after the accident, was admitted to intensive care with concussion and three fractures to her spine.
