Description
The road was built in the days of the Johannesburg gold rush, to connect the city to what are now the northern suburbs, across Linksfield Ridge. Chris Froome, who lived here from the age of 14, has climbed this mountain many times, mostly as the last climb of his training rides.
Chris Froome says about this climb: This was one of the first places where I had a sense that I was actually pretty good at riding uphill.
