Description
In 1963, Federico Bahamontes was first to the top but could do little to stop Jacques Anquetil winning his fourth of five overall victories. Also Richard Virenque and Thomas Voeckler crossed the summit first in 2004 and 2011 respectively, Virenque en route to the mountains jersey and Voeckler about to take the yellow.
In 2016, Thomas de Gendt was first over the summit but Greg van Avermaet went on to win the stage in Le Lioran.
