Description
The Sulferberg refers to sulpher, a typical name for poor soil in the local language. The slope is also climbed in the annual cycling race Belcanto Classic which starts in Westouter. From the start of this race for cyclists in 1994, the Sulferberg is climbed no less than 7 times.
This climb was initially included in the course of Bredene Koksijde Classic 2020, but due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, this race was canceled.
