Description
The Fraele Valley (also called Cancano Valley) is a small valley north of the Valtellina. It is characterized by the presence of two artificial lakes: the dam of Cancano and the basin of San Giacomo. It can be reached from a convenient winding road marked on the provincial road that leads from Bormio to Livigno. The entrance is marked by the presence of two towers called Fraele towers visible throughout the road that goes up from Bormio.
