Description

After the news that the mayors of Vlissingen, Terneuzen, and Sittard did not give permission for the rides on Dutch territory because of the Corona problems, the organizer of the Binckbank Tour 2020 had presented a new stage schedule within 24 hours.

The third stage (which would originally be the 4th stage and would be ridden by Limburg, with Sittard as a finish) became a time trial in Riemst. Around Riemst a new route was drawn up. From the start under the bridge in Kanne, they went directly up the Slingerberg. The 600-meter long climb has nine bends and has an average gradient of 6%.

The climb is known by three names: Zusserdel, Tiendeberg or Slingerberg.
