Beschreibung
The Kanarieberg is well known from Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne, but has also been included in the Driedaagse van De Panne, Halle-Ingooigem, E3 Harelbeke, Eneco Tour and in 2014 for the first time in the Ronde van Vlaanderen, where it was situated as the 9th slope between Kaperij and Oude Kwaremont.
The climb of the Kanarieberg is about 1 kilometre long. The road is usually not too wide, and it almost always goes straight on. That makes the climb very clear. Only the percentages of ascents vary nicely. You can feel it in your calves, because it quickly goes well over 10%, although it won't take too long. After the first steep part it goes a bit quieter towards the top. When reaching the forest, the climbing get again a little harder, but this won't take long either. Finaly you arrive at a T-point.
