Description
A mixed surface climb from Ilkley over the moor towards Keighley Gate. After a smooth tarmac surface at the start, the surface soon deteriorates to gravel with concrete drainage slabs crossing your path. This is likely to be very challenging on a road bike/tyres but at the summit you have fantastic views over the Aire valley and towards Pendle Hill in Lancashire on a clear day. There is a mostly good surfaced tarmac descent from Keighley Gate south towards Keighley and Riddlesden once you summit.
