The road to the top is an asphalted forest road from Vesancy to the Baraque de Touppinet. This Baraque is a hut built for the hunting party and foresters. It is more or less a shelter with a wood stove where you can warm up and store things. Nowadays, anyone who wants can rent this baraque. In order to reach the Baraque, from Vesancy one has to overcome an ascent of barely 5,5 km length with an ascent average of more than 11 %. This makes it one of the steepest and perhaps hardest climbs in the Jura.
