Descrizione
The Tour crossed the climb in the 2019 edition, in Stage 19 to Tignes. However, due to adverse weather conditions on the ascent to Tignes, the stage was neutralized with times for the general classification being taken at the summit of the Col de l'Iseran. Egan Bernal was the first to come on top of the Iseran, and took over the yellow jersey from Julian Alaphilippe. Earlier in the stage Thibaut Pinot had to leave the Tour de France in tears because of muscle injury on the left thigh.
