Descrizione
The climb is mainly known for the seventh stage of the Tour de France of 2020. In this stage the BORA-hansgrohe of Peter Sagan, on this climb 9km from the start, pulled the peloton completely apart. Almost all other sprinters had to let go because of this. On the one hand because of the steep uphill road, on the other hand because of the high pace and the tight wind in the side. In the end, the remaining bunch broke up again in the last 45 kilometers after which Wout van Aert won the final sprint in Lavaur.
