The ascent to Aritxulegi from Oiartzun is a demanding yet scenic climb in the Basque Country, following the GI-3420 road through the Aiako Harria Natural Park. Covering 6.5 km with an average gradient of 6.6% and ramps reaching 12%, the climb starts gradually in dense woodland before steepening in the middle section with a series of tight turns. The final stretch opens up, offering expansive views as you reach the pass, which marks the border between Gipuzkoa and Navarre. With a mix of shaded lower slopes and exposed upper sections, Aritxulegi is a rewarding climb for cyclists seeking both challenge and breathtaking scenery.
