Descripción

The Capo Mele is a hill on the Italian coast of the Ligurian Sea, known as the third climb in the classic Primavera or Milan-San Remo, about 50 km before arrival. The hill plays a role in the final of the cycling race, as the first of the Tre Capi. Capo Mele is followed by Capo Cervo and Capo Berta. On the hill, there is a meteorological station and a lighthouse, the Faro di Capo Mele.

In 2020, at the 'restart' of the season, some mayors of the Province of Savona were opposed to the arrival of the bunch in their municipality, which drastically changed the route. As a result, the famous climbs such as the Turchino and three Capi were removed from the course. The climbs of the Niella Belbo and the Colle di Nava were added to the course as replacements.

The other side of the Capo Mele is often used in the Trofeo Laigueglia
