Descripción
The Col de Perthus was used in the 2016 Tour de France, on this climb Greg van Avermaet made his move to victory (and yellow).
The climb was also used in the etappe where Johnny Hoogerland and Juan Antonio Flecha where hit by a car of the organisation of the Tour de France. While Flecha fel on the ground, Hoogerland was launched from his bike and sent flying into a barbed wire fence.
