The Côte du Malgré-Tout, also called Mont Malgré-Tout or Mont Tranet, is a slope that starts in the Meuse valley in Revin.
The first 3 kilometers have an average gradient of about 9.5% (with peaks above 15%). The last 2 kilometers to the top are significantly flatter, averaging about 2% so that the whole climb has an average percentage of 6.4%.
The Côte du Malgré-Tout was the decisive factor in the Critérium International organized in this region between 2001 and 2009. The climb was repeatedly included in the long stage of the race.
From the last hairpin bend, the Mont Malgré-Tout offers a view of the Meuse valley.
