Descripción
Katsberg (Mont des Cats) is a hill in French Flanders. It is 150 metres high. On the Katsberg there is an abbey and a 200 meter high television mast. The name comes from the Germanic tribe of the Chatti. To this day, the abbey remains very famous for its cheese and beer. The Katsberg also has its own cycling story. The Cats has been recorded once in the Tour de France. It was the Tour of 1994. As of 2010 the Catsberg is located annually in Gent-Wevelgem. Tom Boonen had problems with the material in 2011. He was able to join before the Kemmelberg and win the sprint in Wevelgem for Daniele Benatti and Tyler Farrar.
