Descripción
The company Westwind Zephyrus from Kuurne applied in the summer of 2013 to Nieuwkerke to build a wind farm. It concerned the placing of 7 wind turbines in the Zuidlindestraat, Niepkerkestraat, Mitoyenstraat and Waterstraat. Mayor Marc Lewyllie was surprised by the application . "Nobody on the board is a great advocate given the landscape character of the area".
